Corporate career mentorship programme
Our career mentorship programme connects students with working professionals from diverse career fields. Under Kenya’s new Competency‑Based Curriculum, Grade 9–10 students must select career pathways earlier than any previous cohort, in home environments where informed guidance is limited by poverty and instability. Pathway selection and career aspiration are therefore particularly challenging. You change that.
As a volunteer mentor, you lead a 45-minute career engagement session at a participating school, sharing your professional journey, career field, and practical advice. Sessions are structured and facilitated. Your role is to inspire. Trained Community Health Assistants lead all health-related talks separately. All fields of work are welcome: health, law, engineering, media, entrepreneurship, finance, technology, and more.
What is required of volunteers
A valid Certificate of Good Conduct, required before confirmation. Do not apply if you are unable to provide one.
Availability for one 45-minute in-school session 2027 in Embakasi, Nairobi.
Willingness to share your professional background and career journey with adolescent students.
Completion of a short screening form. Shortlisted applicants will be contacted by Better Tomorrow Systems. Submitting a form does not confirm your place.
