RISE UP

Restoring Integrity, Safety & Empowerment

A structured, agile campaign addressing period poverty, menstrual stigma, career aspiration, WASH, and mental health across 20 public schools in Embakasi-Nairobi; reaching 5,000 Grade 10 students and reframing menstruation as the community health issue it is.

Why Partner With Us

Your brand belongs in this conversation.

In Kenya, 65% of women and girls cannot afford sanitary products, forcing approximately one million girls to miss school every month. In economically disadvantaged areas, that figure is even higher. When boys are never educated about menstruation, they unknowingly create environments of shame and teasing. Silence from male peers and teachers becomes an infrastructure of stigma. Additionally, under Kenya’s new Competency‑Based Curriculum, Grade 9–10 students must select career pathways earlier than any previous cohort, in home environments where informed guidance is limited by poverty and instability. Pathway selection and career aspiration are therefore particularly challenging.

RISE UP changes that and your partnership makes it possible. Every shilling you invest translates directly into dignity kits, career mentorship sessions, WASH infrastructure, and a community that finally talks openly about what has always been a public health issue.

Sanitary Product Manufacturers and Distributors

Product partners are engaged individually as campaign sponsors. Each of the 3,000 girls receives a dignity kit that includes reusable pads with a lifespan of 3-5 years, providing them with a sustainable option to stay in school. This kit is complemented by disposable pads and additional products to introduce them to various market options for their future choices.

Each kit carries your brand into homes, schoolbags, and conversations about period-positive menstrual health culture, influencing their perspectives on life for years to come.
